Heart

Odilon Redlon "Sacred heart"
As human beings we stand on the threshold between two realities: the world of material existence and the world of spiritual Being. And the sacred place where these two dimensions meet is our heart.
The question arises:  the human heart is just a fanciful metaphor but an objective organ of intuition and perception?
How far can man be ignorant of the natural law, which, as St. Paul says, is written in the human heart (Romans 2:14)?
"There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoiled, the whole body gets spoiled – and that is the heart." (Bukhary, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 49: Part of the Hadith Narrated by An-Nu'man bin Bashir)
Besides that heart operates our physical life, nobody doubts what that is related to our emotional and moral life. It is able to perceive all that is beautiful, lovely, and meaningful in life—and to reflect these spiritual qualities in the world, for the benefit of others. Every human heart has the capacity and the destiny to bring that world of divine reality into this world of appearances.
The heart is, above all, the emblem of love. And it is connected directly with religious life of person. Heart is our most personal  center, and clearly authentic religion is from this heart. No authentic religion can be indifferent to the offering of the heart.

Jesus Christ, recapitulated in the Sacred Heart, is the Sacred symbol and Sacrament of Love in Christianity.

"The mystic Kaaba is the heart of being. God says The Temple which contains Me is in your heart. The mystery of the Divine Essence is no other than the Temple of the heart, and it is around the heart that the spiritual pilgrim circumambulates."(Ibn Arabi)

Sufism, known as the way of the Heart, have an emblem of heart with wings what expresses that it reaches upward.

Spiritual path in hinduism is impossible without love and devotion (prem and bhakti) of human heart to God.

The Prajñāpāramitā or Heart Sūtra is a most popular Buddhit scripture, which name literally means "The Heart of the Perfection of Transcendent Wisdom".

Heart is understood as the secret place of higher treasure. "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."(Matthew 6:21)

And what is this biggest treasure? There is only one answer.
The Highest heart is a Love source. This Heart calls to our heart. And our little human heart is a recipient of this improbable Divine Gift. Thus, our heart is the channel or the instrument of Divine Love. It invites us to forget about self-preservation and to discover the fullness of Love, which alone is eternity and which sustains this world. It is not how much we give, but the love that we put in the giving, because then you give it to God and He makes it infinite. And the hearts of the lover and the Beloved become the One.
O Lord, how to be worthy of such Blessing?
Only by Your Grace. My heart is good for nothing as it is. Lord, make my heart pure and thou shalt have it. Ultimately, You always see what’s in our hearts.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (Matthew 5:8)
